SHANGHAI—Oscar Zhao, founder and chief executive of the Blue Focus Communications Group, and Lord Peter Chandlington, founder and chief executive of international public relations holding company Huntsworth, will be among industry leaders presenting at this year’s Asia-Pacific ThinkTank Live conference, which will take place the on September 18 in Shanghai, ahead of our annual Asia-Pacific SABRE Awards dinner.

The conference, which will be held co-hosted by The Holmes Report and the China International Public Relations Association, will examine some of the biggest issues facing professional communicators in Asia, and China in particular, with a heavy emphasis on the impact of digital and social media. Blue Focus will be the Platinum level sponsor of the event. Other sponsors include multinational agencies Edelman, FleishmanHillard and Weber Shandwick.

Oscar Zhao (pictured), who founded Blue Focus in 1996 and has grown it into the largest public relations firm in China—and one of the 20 largest in the world, according to the Holmes Report’s latest ranking—will be discussing his vision of the next 10 years for public relations in the China market.

Lord Chadlington, whose Huntsworth group includes the Citigate Dewe Rogerson, Grayling, Huntsworth Health and Red Consultancy brands, will focus on the growing importance of digital and social media in Asia.

In addition to Zhao and Chadlington, confirmed participants include Kaiser Kuo, head of corporate communications for Baidu, and Sam Flemming, founder and CEO of CICData.
