About The Job
We are seeking an Executive Vice President to join our Corporate Practice in our Chicago office. In this role, you have the opportunity to support existing Technology clients. You will be engaged in a broad range of client programs, including reputation management, executive leadership, internal communications and financial PR. You must think and do. We’re looking for masters of the craft, who are excellent people leaders, client counselors and will roll up their sleeves and stay close to the work.
Secure, maintain and grow the business
Provide strategic counsel, guidance and leadership, supervising several staff members, and ensuring the team's success by managing work quality and productivity levels
Develop strategic, visionary plans for clients and communicate them compellingly with supporting recommendations and substantive logic
Foster and maintain relationships with client contacts and internal agency partners
Grow business prospects with existing clients; expand scope of work using network capabilities; lead new business outreach process and win business
Drive learning and ongoing education with direct team and across agency through trend watching and general knowledge management
Commit to continuous learning and improvement of leadership skills; set and pursue stretch goals
Mentor, coach and support team members ensuring constant development of their skills
Effectively manage staff utilization to meet profitability targets
Maintain financial responsibility for accounts including forecasting and account profitability
Develop media relations strategy and conduct outreach for programs/projects
Understand key client industry issues relating to products, product categories, technologies, primary and potential competition and general issues facing the industry
You will succeed at Zeno if you are fearless, resourceful, tenacious, and bring to the table an expertise in client relations, deep knowledge of traditional strategies and a passion for driving great results while building strong, productive relationships with your clients and your team.
15+ years of experience in Corporate PR, agency experience within the tech realm strongly preferred
Must have strong expertise within the Technology realm
Must have a strong background in corporate communications and solid corporate media relations contacts
Must have an in-depth knowledge of reputation management and a working knowledge of traditional and non-traditional media. A current track record of success in building relationships with national business media, and driving results for clients
Excellent writing skills, solid presentation skills, experience developing and delivering client presentations, including new business
A history of success in providing sound creative and strategic counsel to clients and building credibility with senior level client contacts
Collaborative spirit, results driven with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work against deadlines
Demonstrate the ability to think strategically, creatively and holistically about client programs
Proven leadership experience, mentoring and developing junior talent
