Responsibilities

THE ROLE:

As a Vice President at MMC, you will play an essential role in the organic growth and success of a large oncology franchise where you will support a suite of products and pipeline assets across multiple therapeutic areas. In this role, your experience with program delivery will drive a variety of insights-driven program elements including: development and launch of unbranded campaigns, branded activities, scientific communications, regulatory milestones and medical meetings in the Oncology space for a global biopharmaceutical company.

 

Your passion for data, science and innovation coupled with your deep knowledge and understanding of the oncology landscape will be critical in leading the strategic approach to data and regulatory milestones, product launches, and branded and unbranded campaigns across various stakeholders. You will manage truly integrated programs that include surround sound efforts in earned and paid media, patient/advocacy/HCP-influencer engagement and social/digital media.

 

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY:  

  • Drive the development of creative and strategic plans for servicing clients, growing existing client business, and ensuring that all program objectives are understood and executed 
  • Contribute ideas internally and with clients throughout the programming process and in client presentations 
  • Lead program development and play a key role in client presentation meetings
  • Approve key client reports, appropriate correspondence, and press materials
  • Counsel clients on strategic direction of program/account
  • Manage account budget and conduct client budget conversations for brands you manage
  • Assign team target hours for billability and profitability, effectively managing programs and ensuring efficiency 
  • Contribute ideas internally and with clients throughout the process and in client presentations 
  • Continually seek to evolve your knowledge of your specialty, client’s business and competitors, vertical industry, media landscape, and emerging trends in consumer/patient/HCP behavior

Qualifications

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • 8+ years of brand management and oncology experience
  • 5+ years of supervisory experience and the ability to lead and manage integrated marketing work teams
  • Knowledge of healthcare marketing and communications
  • Understanding of FDA rules and regulations
  • Proven track record in client service, strategy development and execution, creativity, new business pitches/presentations
  • Creative, entrepreneurial drive; ability to plan strategically
  • Excellent verbal and written communication; strong presentation skills
  • Strong presence, ability to manage diverse personalities
  • Experience managing large-scale budgets
  • Ability to generate revenue producing initiatives, new business and organic growth
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing or related field

The anticipated salary range for this position is ($117k-$175k). Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and geography. A range of medical, dental, vision, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and/or other benefits also are available.
