LONDON — US-based behaviour change and weight loss app Noom has picked Eulogy as its first PR agency in the UK.

The healthtech firm has tasked the independent agency with managing its marketing and communications activity, including increasing brand awareness and credibility and localising content and messaging.

The integrated brief covers consumer PR, influencer marketing and brand partnerships, with the objective of increasing the number of people using the app in the UK.

Noom’s programme is based on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), addressing patterns of thinking and behaviour through daily challenges that help people to identify their habits for weight loss and other lifestyle changes.

The company, which is headquartered in New York with offices in Seoul and Tokyo, reported $237 million in revenue in 2019, with more than 2.5 million users. It has so far raised $120 million and is backed by Sequoia Capital, RRE, Samsung and Qualcomm.

Noom’s VP international growth and operations, Brian Wright, said: “We need partners that understand the importance of tech, innovation and creativity. In the last four years, our company has grown a hundredfold, and we need to work with teams in other markets who understand our industry and can help us realise our ambition to become a leading global health and wellness company.”

Eulogy chairman and founder Adrian Brady added: “Noom is a game changer in the health tech category. There’s an exciting job to be done in terms of how we localise the Noom message for UK markets and build awareness for the brand here.”
