Our 2024 Iberia Consultancy of the Year, global communications and corporate affairs agency Atrevia is a female-led powerhouse in the Spanish-speaking world. It was founded in 1998 by president Núria Vilanova, one of the most influential female business leaders in Spain, and is now led day-to-day by CEO Asunción Soriano Cuesta, who has been with the firm for 29 years and was the driving force behind the agency’s expansion into public affairs, corporate sustainability, digital transformation and social intelligence. The firm has also been transformed into a multinational player, operating in 15 markets across Europe and Latin America, and has a €20 million fund earmarked for future acquisitions.

The firm’s 2024 revenue is projected at more than $51 million, reflecting 25% year-on-year growth, fueled by a mix of organic expansion and a bold acquisition spree. In the past two years, Atrevia has acquired seven agencies across Iberia and Latin America, enhancing capabilities in creative, internal communications, public affairs, and brand activations. Notable additions include Microbio, a standout in health and pharmacy creativity, and Ulises Comunicación, reinforcing Atrevia’s strength in employee engagement and employer branding.

But beyond its financial performance, Atrevia’s creative and strategic evolution has been just as striking. The firm has built a truly integrated ecosystem, offering services that span corporate reputation, digital influence, public affairs, and consumer engagement. Its Microbio-led creative campaigns have won multiple accolades, while Atrevia’s public affairs arm has solidified its role as a major player in regulatory and institutional communications, particularly in Brussels and Latin America. The agency’s ESG agenda is also central to its growth, with its Atreviactiva sustainability initiative aligning tightly with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals.

The firm’s commitment to culture and talent development remains a key differentiator. With 600 professionals representing 30 nationalities, Atrevia fosters a diverse, innovation-driven environment. That ethos has earned it a spot among Spain’s Best Companies to Work For (El Mundo, 2023 & 2024). — DM
