SEK has been operating in the marketing and communication sector in Finland for 90 years, making it one of the oldest firms in this list. Over the decades, the firm has stayed on top by harnessing creativity and passion, and focusing on constant renewal. 

The firm’s vision is simple: it believes in “changing the world with creativity.” SEK won the first-ever golden Cannes Lions for work in Finland. The firm was the most awarded agency in the Finnish Comms Awards last year, and also won three EMEA region SABRE Awards, and its “Romani rejection letters” campaign, highlighting employer discrimination against Romani people on behalf of Diak, Finland's largest provider of higher education in social work, and its Romako project. This year, the firm supported manufacturing company UPM Raflatac as it sought to meet the post-2030 standards outlined by UN and the EU’s Product Environmental Footprint, creating and promoting a Carbon Action Plan. SEK also worked with debt collection company B2 Impact as it sought to differentiate itself on its humane approach to debt collection.

SEK saw revenues increase by 7% in 2024, endinf the year with revenues of around €17 million, making it one of the largest marketing communications agencies in Finland. Key clients include national airline Finnair (a client for 90 years); the country’ largest food company Valio; UPM (one of the nation’s largest manufacturers); security industry giant Abloy; the Finnish Road Safety Council; Visit Finald; MunicipalFinace’ and food company Fazer. 

The firm’s culture encourages long tenure and is built with systematic management and development paths, developmental tasks and learning from colleagues.
