CCGroup’s 2024 story is one of resilience, agility, and strategic foresight. The agency founded by Rich Fogg and Paul Nolan has long been a force in technology PR, known for its industry expertise, strategic approach, and creative campaigns. However, 2024 tested the agency like never before. Faced with economic headwinds that hit the tech industry hard, it experienced client losses, a revenue dip, and difficult restructuring decisions. Yet, instead of retreating, CCGroup made bold moves: investing in integration, securing major new clients, and doubling down on its people.

The agency’s financial turnaround was remarkable. Despite heavy fee losses early in the year, it rebounded with new business wins totalling three times its 2023 figure, ending the year with fee income of £4.8m and healthy margins of 25%. By repositioning itself as a fully integrated marketing agency, CCGroup significantly grew its marketing services revenue by 50%.

A highlight of CCGroup’s resurgence was its ability to win and retain household-name clients, including BT and EE, alongside securing major new accounts that reinforced its credibility in the market.

Creativity and innovation remained at the heart of CCGroup’s client work. For Brivo, it developed a multi-channel content marketing campaign, delivering a high-impact security trends report that helped the brand secure a leading industry position; the campaign’s paid social ads resulted in 1,360 report downloads and 16 lead conversations.

Thought leadership continued to be a strength. The agency’s work extended beyond traditional PR, with expertise in fintech, enterprise tech, and cybersecurity earning industry recognition. Meanwhile, its proactive media strategies and data-driven insights cemented its reputation as a trusted partner for clients navigating complex markets.

Culture was another standout factor in CCGroup’s success. Despite early-year morale challenges, the agency implemented initiatives such as flexible working policies, mentoring programs, and well-being support, leading to a rebound in employee satisfaction. In its most recent staff survey, 96% of the team said they knew what good work looks like in their roles and 93% would recommending CCGroup as a great place to work. — MPS
