LONDON—The 2023 EMEA SABRE Awards, including the completely revised Innovation SABRE Awards, are open for entries. The early deadline for entries is November 11, with a late deadline (additional fee required) of December 9.

This year’s SABRE Awards dinner will take place in Frankfurt in March. The deadlines and dinner date have been moved forward two months this year to avoid growing “event congestion” in May. The awards are open to any public relations campaign conducted at least in part over the past 12 months.

The SABRE Awards recognize Superior Achievement in Branding, Reputation and Engagement, and recognize the best public relations campaigns from around the world, with a focus on strategy and planning, creative solutions, and measurement and evaluation. The Innovation SABREs recognize a wide range of content creation, as well as the application of new technologies and the use of data and analytics,

Changes this year include new Innovation SABRE categories that recognize the active role public relations is playing in the metaverse, as well as a range of new categories for individuals (from DE&I Professional of the Year to Innovator of the Year).

“Awards that celebrate innovation must constantly reinvent themselves,” says Paul Holmes, founder of PRovoke Media and chairman of the SABRE Awards jury. “We have taken note of the forces transforming the public relations—everything from purpose to diversity and inclusion, from data and analytics to the metaverse—and attempted to craft categories that recognize work on the cutting edge."

“At the same time, we have maintained our focus on the full breadth of content creation, from experiential and events to digital and social media, including individual platforms—across paid, earned, owned and shared channels.”
