LONDON — 3 Monkeys Zeno has hired Freuds director Ryan Larnach to lead its corporate reputation practice in the UK and Europe.

Larnach joins after eight years at Freuds, where he ran high profile brand reputation and issues work for KFC UK & Ireland. His other work included corporate narrative, CEO profiling and sustainability pushes for brands including AB InBev, PepsiCo and Maltesers’ Superhuman diversity campaign with Channel 4.

Before Freuds, Larnach worked at The Red Consultancy and FleishmanHillard, for clients including Molson Coors, Santander, McCain Foods and British Sugar.

In his European regional role, Larnach joins the Zeno corporate affairs global leadership team, which is led by global corporate affairs MD Mark Shadle and includes Asia-Pacific corporate leader Rosemary Merz and US deputy head of corporate Kim Metcalfe.

At 3 Monkeys Zeno, he will lead corporate reputation campaigns for clients including Lenovo, Pilgrim’s Food Masters and Michael Page, reporting to 3 Monkeys Zeno managing director Jo Patterson.

She said: “Ryan is a Rolls Royce of a hire, with a sharply honed understanding of the wide ranging and complex issues affecting organisations today. At a time when corporations are being scrutinised more than ever for their actions as well as their words, he brings a proven track record of progressive corporate campaigning to 3MZ, with a keen focus on sustainability and business doing good.”

Larnach added: “This is a truly fantastic opportunity to join a growing team of corporate reputation specialists. With companies and brands held to increasingly high standards of responsible business by consumers and stakeholders, skilful and creative corporate communications has never been more important.”

The corporate reputation practice has recently added new assignments from Amadeus, Wella and Boston Consulting Group.

Other recent new hires at 3MZ include Oliver Druttman, who joined as a director from Launch earlier this year.
