LONDON — Zeno Group’s UK operation, 3 Monkeys Zeno, has rebranded as Zeno London, seven years after the Daniel J Edelman Holdings firm bought 3 Monkeys Communications.

The rebrand, which includes a new logo and website, marks the end of the 3 Monkeys name, 20 years after it was founded by Angie Moxham, who exited the agency at the end of 2017.

Zeno Group CEO Barby Siegel said the move was part of the agency's plans for expansion in Europe: “As we look back on the last decade of the firm’s global growth, Zeno London has been an important source of inspiration for clients and colleagues across the network. With growing operations in France and Germany, along with our network of affiliates, Zeno Europe is poised for further expansion through organic growth, innovation and strategic acquisition.”

Since the acquisition of 3 Monkeys Communications, Zeno London has evolved into a full-service European hub with a team of 80 people, with specialisms in corporate reputation, digital, and data and analytics. The agency’s client roster includes Lenovo, Campari Group, Zoom, Google and Kraft Heinz.

Following Moxham’s departure to launch her latest agency, The Fourth Angel, 3 Monkeys Zeno was led by Christine Jewell until 2020, when former Porter Novelli co-managing director, Jo Patterson, joined as managing director.

The agency’s corporate and brand communications lead, Sarah Ogden, left in 2021 to become MD of Lewis. Zeno London’s leadership also includes deputy MD Anna Speight and executive creative director Stuart Yeardsley.

Patterson said: “This is an exciting and strategically important moment for Zeno London as we look to the future, but never forget our origins. As part of Zeno Group, the London office and operations have remained independent, fiercely nurturing our culture of curiosity and collaboration. Our fearless spirit burns brighter than ever as we begin this next important chapter.”

In 2021, Zeno London’s health offer was boosted with the arrival of Avril Lee as head of health, Europe, and the agency introduced Chorus, a centralised 20-strong team of creatives, planners, designers and social media specialists.

In 2022, the agency launched Z3, a global Web3 specialist consultancy, headed by London-based director of digital strategy and innovation, Rob Stone.

Zeno Group posted 18.4% global and 22% European growth in its last fiscal year. The firm has more than 800 staffers across North America, Europe and Asia Pacific.
