LONDON — Broadcast agency 4media group has appointed Chris Foulerton as its new head of UK and European operations, as it embarks on a period of expansion.

Foulerton's arrival follows the departure of James Myers, previously TVC’s group MD, who joined 4Media as chief innovation officer last summer.

Foulerton was formerly managing director at broadcast PR specialist Bulletin International, before it became part of WPP. He managed the agency’s integration with WPP’s specialist communications division, then with Ogilvy PR, where he was practice head of broadcast and digital.

For the past decade, Foulerton has been running his own broadcast and content marketing consultancy, Pier Communications, working on UK and European remits for automotive and technology brands.

Edward Cyster, 4media group’s global CEO, said: “We’ve been searching for a while now for someone of the right calibre, with business-building experience and a broad set of marcomms skills to head up our UK and European team and Chris completely fits the bill. His brand building pedigree, broadcast expertise and international outlook are exactly what we need as we look to grow strategically.”

Foulerton added: “I am delighted to be joining 4media group at the start of a new decade and at such an exciting moment in its history as it embarks on a period of UK, European and US expansion.”
