SAN FRANCISCO — Former Pandora corporate comms leader Erika White has joined fintech company Affirm as head of communications and corporate marketing.

In the newly created role, White has a wide-ranging remit that, in addition to running communications, includes leading corporate marketing initiatives. Creating a narrative that boosts awareness of Affirm, which allows shoppers to pay over time, and integrating communications with the company’s work in partnerships, social media, and influencer engagement are among her initial tasks.

“Looking ahead, I‘m confident Affirm is poised to become a beloved brand and to transform financial services for the better,” she said.

White will be reporting to CMO Greg Fisher, while also working with CEO Max Levchin, a PayPal cofounder.

White joins most recently from TPG, where she spent four-plus years as the investment firm’s director of external affairs. Before that, she was Pandora’s corporate communications director and director of global corporate relations & corporate marketing at Visa.
