RICHMOND, VA — Dan Morrison has joined Joe Smith, Padilla’s branding group, as VP. Morrison most recently served as head of operations, data and metrics for Facebook’s Community Partnerships, which works with leaders worldwide who are building communities through the Facebook family of apps and services. The move is part of the ongoing capability expansion strategy for Joe Smith.

WASHINGTON — Waxman Strategies has added two new members to its health policy team — Maggie Jo Buchanan and Kashif Syed. Buchanan joins the firm as a senior director after leading major policy initiatives at organizations including Center for American Progress, Young Invincibles and NARAL Pro-Choice America. Syed has been named a director in Waxman’s health practice. He was a senior member of the policy team at Planned Parenthood Federation of America working on a variety of health equity and public health issues.

WASHINGTON — Nahigian Strategies has hired Tom Qualtere as communications manager in its Washington headquarters. Qualtere most recently served as director of communications for US Rep. Mike Kelly, a Pennsylvania Republican who is a senior member of the House Ways and Means Committee.

WASHINGTON — Clyde Group has hired Anthony LaFauce as a senior VP and Kate Greer as a senior director. LaFauce, whose experience includes heading Porter Novelli’s agriculture and digital communications groups, will lead Clyde Group’s new agricultural practice. Greer brings a decade of professional experience to Clyde Group, having served as chief communications lead on policy issues such as Brexit, trade, economy, technology, science and innovation for the British Embassy in Washington.

NEW YORK — Shelley Noeldechen has joined MWWPR as VP and associate creative director. Noeldechen joins from Western Digital, where she was head of corporate marketing strategy & partnerships and spent seven years at Porter Novelli before that.
