NEW YORK — Brunswick Group has appointed John Simons as a partner. Simons (pictured) has worked as a business journalist and in senior editorial positions, most recently serving as executive editor at Time. Before Time, he was deputy health and science editor and bureau chief for health business at the Wall Street Journal. Earlier in his career, Simons covered the drug and biotech industries, immigration, technology and economic policy at U.S. News & World Report and Fortune.

WASHINGTON — Dentons Global Advisors has named four new associate partners: Randolph Bell, Nicole Frazier, Tim Mulvey and Tatiana Torres. Bell previously served as VP for international government affairs for Commonwealth Fusion Systems and, before that, was executive director of the Atlantic Council Global Energy Center. Frazier previously served as senior VP at the Daniels Fund, a private foundation that provides grants to nonprofit organizations and awards college scholarships. Mulvey was communications director for the U.S. House Select Committee to investigate the January 6th attack on the U.S. Capitol and Torres was a VP at SKDK and previously worked for Washington Mayor Muriel Bowser and deputy mayor for planning and economic development and chief of staff John Falcicchio.

NEW YORK — Marino has appointed Laurain Aydinian as VP for its lifestyle and consumer practice. Aydinian will run Marino’s food and beverage accounts with brands such as Chelsea Market, Faneuil Hall Marketplace in Boston, Bono Extra Virgin Olive Oil and De Nigris balsamic vinegars, and work with the senior team on business development. Aydinian has more than a decade of experience and most recently worked at Gregory+Vine and led multi-media content and communication strategies for global wine and spirits brands such as Rémy Martin, Hendrick’s Gin, Bordeaux Wine Bureau, Graves-Sauternes and Albarino Wines of Rías Biaxas.

NEW YORK — UpSpring has promoted three of its team members — Caroline Saba to VP and chief of staff, Ashley Bond to VP of residential interiors and product and Adelaide Godwin to associate VP. Saba will work with senior leadership to develop initiatives for clients while supporting team growth. Bond will be a senior level contact for high-profile clients, providing strategic expertise and developing and implementing PR programs. She will also assist in business development, recruitment and company marketing while helping to build team culture. Godwin specializes in crisis communication and will guide and communicate with clients as needed.

WASHINGTON — Rasky Partners has appointed Matthew McNally as senior VP in the firm’s Washington office. He has served as a political and communications strategist on campaigns and has worked for members of congressional leadership. His most recent position is as chief of staff for former US Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney, running the congressman's caucus election to become DCCC chairman and continuing to serve as his chief during his tenure as chair.

FALLS CHURCH, VA — Focused Image, has promoted Connor Eckhardt to VP of digital marketing. With this new role, Eckhardt will be responsible for developing, executing and managing integrated marketing campaigns, focusing on digital elements. Previously, Eckhardt held the role of director of digital marketing and built Focused Image’s digital marketing practice, which, five years since launch, has come to account for 40% of the firm’s revenue.
