WASHINGTON, DC—Brunswick Group has hired Peter Shafer as a partner in its Washington, DC, office and part of Brunswick Insight, the firm's global market and opinion research and analytics offer. Shafer brings experience from leadership roles at KRC Research, Harris Interactive and The Gallup Organization. He was most recently senior vice president for Toluna, representing a number of corporate clients as they moved into digital media marketing and research.

SAN FRANCISCO—Lewis has appointed Mark Olson as vice president of PR in its San Francisco office. He joins Lewis from Max Borges Agency, where he opened the San Francisco office in 2014, following seven years at the firm. He has developed and executed communications programs for brands like AT&T, 3D Robotics, Cricket Wireless and Goal Zero.

WASHINGTON, DC—Jeff Richardson, a longtime health care advocate and former vice president of the AbbVie Foundation, has joined APCO Worldwide’s health advisory board, part of its international advisory council.  Richardson will advise APCO’s clients on global health, HIV/AIDS and corporate philanthropy matters. He most recently served as vice president of the AbbVie Foundation, the charitable and philanthropic arm of global biopharmaceutical company AbbVie and earlier served as vice president for the Abbott Fund.

WASHINGTON, DC—Direct Impact, the national grassroots public affairs, public education and corporate reputation subsidiary of Burson-Marsteller, has hired Brian Noyes as executive vice president.  Noyes is currently completing work as director of external affairs for the Republican National Convention in Cleveland and previously was the executive director of strategy and communication at the US Chamber's Global Intellectual Property Center.

NEW YORK—M&C Saatchi PR has promoted Jen Dobrzelecki to executive vice president. Dobrzelecki joined M&C Saatchi PR in 2015 as senior VP, and has driven the agency's recent expansion in the US, adding clients including Bentley Motors and GameHedge. In her new role Dobrzelecki reports to global CEO Molly Aldridge and is responsible for business development, client relationships, global integration and operations in the US market. In addition, M&C Saatchi PR has appointed Meredith Brengle, formerly of Weber Shandwick, to director in its New York office.

NEW ORLEANS—Deveney has added art director Maxwell Rasche, social media account executive Katelyn Henderson, senior account executive Denise Davila and account executive Lindsey Andry. Previously, Rasche worked at GumboLive/Momentum Worldwide, where he focused on the hospitality, food and beverage and entertainment sectors. Davila spent nine years in-house at Procter & Gamble working for the luxury haircare brand Frederic Fekkai. Henderson joined Deveney after almost two years as a social media coordinator at Louisiana State University.

NASHVILLE, TN—Choice Media & Communications has hired Dayna Calkins as senior publicist.
Calkins most recently worked for the Las Vegas-based public relations firm Kirvin Doak Communications, where she spearheaded campaigns for major lifestyle and entertainment clients to garner local, regional and national media coverage, coordinate events and manage talent relations.
