WASHINGTON, DC— Chris Ferguson, most recently an Under Armour senior creative, has joined Weber Shandwick as its Washington-based executive creative director.  Ferguson will be responsible for shaping and executing creative engagement campaigns for clients, with a focus on the intersection of business, policy and society. He will lead a team of creatives in Washington, Baltimore and Dallas.

CHICAGO — Sports marketing vet David Gough has joined KemperLesnik as its VP of sports and events. With experience at IMG and Coca-Cola, Gough is charged with expanding the firm’s sports and events portfolio, which includes the Maui Jim Maui Invitational and CBS Sports Classic. He most recently served as managing director of the Boxing Marketing Arm in Lausanne, Switzerland.

LOS ANGELES — Kathy Jones Irish has joined Englander Knabe & Allen as a joint venture partner.  The joint venture puts under one umbrella Irish’s practice serving clients in areas including transportation, local government and corporate philanthropy and EKA’s, which focuses on government affairs, political campaigns and crisis communications.

PORT WASHINGTON, NEW YORK — Gil Bashe (pictured), Finn Partners' managing partner of global health, has been named a Marfan Foundation 2018 HeartWorks honoree. In announcing this year’s honorees, the foundation praised Bashe, a longtime supporter, for his work across health-related sectors, driven by the belief that communications influence quality patient care. The actress Ann Reinking and Dr. Reed Pyeritz, a medical geneticist who helped create the foundation, are this year’s other honorees.
