WASHINGTON — ROKK Solutions has hired John LaBombard as a senior VP. LaBombard is an established strategist with 15 years of experience leading campaign and congressional communications efforts for US senators Claire McCaskill, Jon Tester and most recently, Kyrsten Sinema. He has led strategic communications for issues ranging from McCaskill’s work with the Pentagon reforming wartime contracting and with college campuses curbing sexual violence, to Sinema’s work on aviation, telecommunications, and health care issues.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — Rob Schnapp has joined Crosby Marketing Communications as its executive creative director. He will lead a team of more than 30 creatives to develop integrated campaigns that drive meaningful change and marketplace impact for the firm’s health, nonprofit cause and federal government clients. Schnapp joins Crosby from Coyne PR, where he served as executive creative director for eight years. Prior to that, he was an SVP, creative director at Young & Rubicam in New York for 12 years.

WASHINGTON — Former New York State Commissioner of Health Howard Alan Zucker has joined APCO Worldwide’s International Advisory Council as a senior counselor. As the state’s chief physician from 2014 until 2021, Dr. Zucker led the response to the Covid-19 pandemic and guided New York through many crises including Ebola, Zika, Legionella, a measles outbreak, opioid crisis, e-cigarettes, water safety and quality and medical marijuana among others.

HACKENSACK, NJ — Steinreich Communications Group has appointed Heather Carter, the former editor in chief at TILE Magazine, as content manager. In her new role, Carter will be in charge of creating narratives for the firm’s home furnishings clients. She will also provide mentorship to junior staff on writing and strategic trade media placement.
