NEW YORK—Burson-Marsteller has named Joel Benenson, CEO and founder of its Benenson Strategy Group subsidiary, as worldwide vice chair. He will work with the firm’s professionals around the world to bring clients senior-level strategic communications counseling, while continuing to lead BSG, a strategic research consultancy that joined the Burson-Marsteller network in May 2016. Benenson and BSG ran polling programs for President Barack Obama’s 2008 and 2012 campaigns, and Benenson was chief strategist on the Hillary for America campaign.

NEW YORK—Julie Jack, former senior vice president of MSLGroup’s corporate practice, has rejoined APCO Worldwide. Based in New York, Jack will serve as a senior vice president, helping lead APCO’s work in sustainability and purpose, corporate brand and issues management. Jack joined MSLGroup in 2015, and served as a senior vice president in the firm’s corporate practice, where she advised clients in on corporate strategy, communication and responsibility issues. Earlier, she spent 10 years in APCO’s New York office.

OTTAWA—Veteran Canadian broadcaster, former host of The West Block, and chief political correspondent for Global Television, Tom Clark is joining privately-owned public affairs and communications firm Global Public Affairs as chair, public affairs and communications. He will provide services including media training, facilitation and strategic advice to address the public affairs challenges facing Canada's corporate sector.

NEW YORK—Allison+Partners has promoted Tracey Cassidy to general manager of the New York office, responsible for day-to-day operations, driving business development efforts and providing strategic counsel for clients. Emily Wilson-Sawyer has been promoted to executive vice president, reflecting her prominent role as head of the West Coast consumer practice and lead of the agency's travel and hospitality specialty.

PHILADELPHIA—Tonic Life Communications has named Stephanie DeViteri as managing director, Philadelphia, responsible for managing and growing the US headquarters. Dana Lynch has been appointed to the role of executive vice president, global strategy and business development; Kelly Kutchinsky has been appointed executive vice president, global insights and innovation; and Theresa Dolge has been appointed chief media relations officer.

MONTREAL—John Parisella is joining National Public Relations as senior advisor, business outreach. Parisella is currently executive director of Campus Montreal, which is responsible for a major fundraising campaign at HEC Montréal (business school), Polytechnique Montréal (engineering school) and Université de Montréal.

BOGOTA—Llorente & Cuenca has appointed María Esteve as firm partner, taking the number of partners across the network to 23. Esteve, managing director Of LLORENTE & CUENCA Colombia, joined the Firm in 2013 as the managing director of the ColombiaN operation and leads a team of 30 professionals in the market. Earlier, she was director of corporate communication and institutional relations at Banco Santander, later absorbed by the Chilean CorpBanca, for two years.

SAN FRANCISCO—PAN Communications has hired Phil Carpenter as executive vice president and managing director for the firm’s West Coast and Southeast operations. Carpenter was most recently at Allison + Partners as senior partner and chair of the firm’s western region. Earlier, he was vice president of corporate marketing for SideStep, a travel metasearch engine acquired by Kayak in 2007.
