WASHINGTON — Mercury has added Democratic strategist Clay Middleton as a senior VP in its Washington and South Carolina offices. A decorated veteran who served at both the White House and Department of Energy during the Obama administration, Middleton brings decades of high-level government, military and political experience at the federal, state and municipal levels. He most recently served as a senior advisor to Sen. Cory Booker’s presidential campaign, where he developed the campaign’s Southern strategy and was a senior political advisor.

NEW YORK — Peaks Strategies has hired Armel Leslie as a partner. Leslie is a former partner at Walek & Associates and a communications professional with more than two decades experience. Peaks also announced that Matt Yemma has been promoted to senior VP of media relations. Yemma joined Peaks in 2018 as a senior consultant.
