LOS ANGELES — Octagon Sports and Entertainment Network has elevated Stephen Macias to head of inclusive diversity for OSEN Worldwide. Macias (pictured) will take on the expanded role, while maintaining his current position as president of multicultural marketing & communications R&CPMK. Macias will help drive DE&I campaigns for Octagon’s collection of athlete, personality, and brand clients. He will also help lead strategy and efforts dedicated to diversity, equity, and inclusion across the full Octagon Sports and Entertainment Network six agency portfolio, including internal and external programming, global initiatives, and partnerships.

NEW YORK — Finn Partners has hired two integrated marketing leaders in its global health practice. Robin Pomeranz Cronin joins Finn as creative director and Ivan Ruiz joins as partner, global digital health. Pomeranz Cronin brings more than 20 years of health public relations and integrated marketing experience to the role of creative director. Prior to joining Finn, she held strategic creative leadership roles, including VP, creative studio at Ogilvy PR, and most recently head of creative at Syneos Health (previously INC Research/inVentiv Health). Ruiz is an award-winning creative strategist and digital communicator whose background spans digital strategy, graphic/web design, and web development. Before joining Finn, Ruiz served as senior VP, innovation studio at Goodfuse Communications, where he managed digital campaign development and social and digital marketing programs for pharmaceutical, biotech, and pharma-adjacent companies around the world. He also held previous roles as director of integrated marketing at Burson-Marstellar and digital engagement strategist at Ogilvy CommonHealth Worldwide.

AUSTIN, TX — The Bliss Group has named Cortney Stapleton CEO of the 48-year-old firm, succeeding Bob Pearson who will serve as chair. In her new role, Stapleton will prepare the firm for a sustainable growth path led by new practice development and the integration of data science and analytics throughout the firm’s entire offering. Stapleton has played a key role in building the professional, business and financial services practices of the firm, in addition to the creation of a purpose-driven offering, Bliss Impact, and a technology firm, NextTech Communications.

TORONTO — Stefan Moores will become Argyle PR’s new CEO on April 1, succeeding Daniel Tisch, who is stepping down from the role after 20 years. Moores, who has been Argyle’s COO since 2018, will lead the agency with Argyle’s senior leadership team. Tisch, meantime, will take on the honorary title of chairman of Argyle, and continue to serve on the Believeco:Partners board.

DALLAS — FTI Consulting has named Steven Soper a senior managing director within the strategic communications segment. Based in Dallas, Soper brings more than 20 years of experience in communications landscape, advising some of the world’s largest companies on corporate reputation, crisis and issues management, and public affairs and government relations. With a background working in high-level corporate roles, political campaigns and at the White House, Soper will advise and represent clients across sectors nationally while helping FTI Consulting’s strategic communications segment continue to build its presence in Texas and across the region.

SUMMIT, NY — Former New York Gov. David A. Paterson has joined MAD Global’s advisory board. Paterson became the 55th Governor of the State of New York on March 17, 2008. During his term, he reduced its deficit by $2 billion, enacted legislation attaching severe criminal penalties to predatory lending and reduced New York’s fiscal deficit by nearly $40 billion.

NEW YORK — Bliss Bio Health has appointed Lisa Davidson as executive VP and lead for client services and global business development, located in the firm’s New York City office. Davidson has more than 25 years of experience. She was previously global managing director at Havas Health & You and has worked in leadership positions at BCW, Burson-Marsteller and Porter Novelli.

NEW YORK — RooneyPartners has promoted Robert Cavosi to senior managing director. Cavosi, who joined RooneyPartners in 2015, is a 30-year PR veteran whose career has included stints on both the corporate and agency sides. Prior to joining RooneyPartners, Cavosi ran the financial services practice at Baltimore-based IMRE, and previously was a senior VP at Ogilvy, helping to manage the firm’s corporate practice. His in-house communications roles include stints at J.P. Morgan Chase, KeyBank, and Pearson, and he was a staff member of the proxy firm D.F. King.

WASHINGTON — ROKK Solutions has promoted Rachel Winer to executive VP of the firm’s digital and paid media practice. Before joining ROKK in 2020, Winer built and led the digital paid media team at Ketchum.
