WASHINGTON — Terry Calvani has joined Brunswick as a senior advisor focused on antitrust, competition and regulatory matters. Calvani has held leadership roles in competition law enforcement serving first as Commissioner of the US Federal Trade Commission and later as a member of the governing board of the Competition Authority of Ireland where he held the criminal cartel and mergers portfolios.

WASHINGTON — ICF Next has hired Jeff “Cap” Caporizzo as the executive creative director focused on government clients. Caporizzo will lead ICF Next’s team of storytellers, artists and digital media experts as they support US federal and other public sector clients to design and execute creative work that drives sustained behavior change. Caporizzo most recently was executive creative director for Edelman’s Washington office, where he led efforts to integrate traditional and digital creative teams to help clients tell single, unified cross-channel stories.

LOS ANGELES — MullenLowe US has named Erica Samadani senior VP, PR director of the agency’s Los Angeles office. Samadani joins MullenLowe from TBWA, where she served as executive director of public relations, leading internal and external communications for TBWA\Chiat\Day, TBWA\Media Arts Lab, and MAL\FOR GOOD.

NEW YORK — Magrino has hired Lauren Peterson as senior account director, overseeing the digital division as well as Shannon Fischer and Cassidy Havens as account directors, overseeing the food, wine and spirits division. Peterson has more than 10 years of social media experience. Fisher brings 13 years’ experience in food and spirits, while Havens has studied communications and fine wine.

NEW YORK — M&C Saatchi Sport & Entertainment has added two VPs to its senior leadership team — Kate Farinella, who will lead the agency’s beverage business, and Payton Wang, who will oversee the firm’s fashion and entertainment practices. Farinella most recently served as deputy VP of global brand marketing and communications at an international philanthropic organization. Wang has more than a decade of multidisciplinary experience in consumer and commercial spheres, leading strategy and content communications for globally recognized brands.
