NEW YORK—Burson-Marsteller has hired Jon Wentzel as executive vice president, US chief client officer. Wentzel will work closely with US CEO Michael Law to build client relationships, ensure access to Burson-Marsteller's full suite of services and implement best practices in client service. Before joining Burson-Marsteller, Wentzel spent nearly 20 years with Ogilvy Public Relations in two separate stints. Most recently he served for 10 years as executive vice president, corporate and public affairs practice lead for Ogilvy Public Relations in the firm's West region.

NEW YORK—Dina Cappiello, former national environmental reporter for the Associated Press, has joined Edelman's global energy sector as vice president based in Washington, DC. David Roznowski joins Edelman Houston as a senior vice president, and will serve on Edelman's energy sector leadership team and head oil and gas, clean technology, chemicals and utilities activities for Edelman South.  Cappiello has spent the past eight years leading environmental policy coverage at the AP. Roznowski was most recently a senior director in the corporate and financial practice of Burson-Marsteller.

CHICAGO—Olson Engage has promoted Tricia Ewald to executive vice president, director of account management, from senior vice president.  The agency also elevated vice presidents Brian Flad, Matt Hargarten and Russin Royal to SVP roles, and tapped vice president Charlie Witkowski as the new general manager of the agency’s San Francisco office. Ewald joined the agency in 2006 and has led Olson’s Wrigley account for the past nine years. 

WASHINGTON, DC—Finn Partners has appointed Chris Lawrence as director of research, bringing expertise in branding and reputation management, developing research plans and proposals, program evaluation and tracking, large multinational research projects, client satisfaction surveys, and employee communications research. Prior to Finn Partners, Lawrence was senior vice president at H+K Strategies research division RDI and worked at the KRC Research unit of Weber Shandwick.

HOUSTON—Saxum has hired Kristi DesJarlais to serve as senior vice president and general manager of the agency’s Houston office. DesJarlais will be responsible for overseeing client service and operations in Saxum’s Houston office as well as business development. She previously worked as manager of corporate reputation and brand for Phillips 66 and has held management roles for ConocoPhillips and Phillips Petroleum.

NEW YORK—Evins Communications has appointed Drew Tybus vice president and director of the agency's food, wine and spirits division, reporting to agency chairman Mathew Evins. Prior to joining Evins, Tybus served as vice president, brand marketing at Porter Novelli where he managed accounts including Gillette, ExxonMobil, Ole Smoky Moonshine, Brooklyn Brewery, Reckitt Benckiser and Chef John Currence.

CLEVELAND—Falls Communications has hired Mark Koznarekas senior capital markets strategist. He will provide senior counsel and market intelligence on complex corporate actions and disclosure issues. Koznarek has provided market research and equity financial analysis for more than 20 years, most recently as a partner and senior research analyst at Cleveland Research Company. He began his career in equity research in 1990 in New York with Sanford C. Bernstein & Co

NEW YORK—Magrino has re-hired Phil DiIanni as senior vice president.  Most recently, he was a senior VP in Ogilvy Public Relations’ brand marketing practice, where he worked on behalf of Ford Motor Company.  Dilanni previously worked at Magrino from 2002-2004 and has represented clients including BMW of North America, Rolls-Royce Motorcars North America, Ciroc vodka, and The Guinness Storehouse. The firm has also promoted Leigh Ann Ambrosi to executive vice president overseeing the consumer, food, wine and spirits teams as well as business development and marketing operations, and Courtney Iselin to senior account director in the travel and real estate division.
