PHOENIX — Orca Communications Unlimited, LLC, a PR firm for small businesses, entrepreneurs and investors, has appointed Drew Stevens to the position of chief executive officer. Prior to Orca, Stevens provided management consulting to a variety of small businesses, entrepreneurs and global firms. Stevens' career has focused on marketing, sales and business operations. 

SYRACUSE — John Favalo, executive vice president of Eric Mower + Associates and leader of its B2B practice, has been appointed a new member of the Association of National Advertisers' B2B Marketing Hall of Fame. Favalo guides the direction and development of the 200-person agency's B2B practice, including work for clients such as FedEx, GE and Siemens. Founded in 1910, the ANA provides leadership that advances marketing excellence in the industry. 

MAINE — Integrated marketing communications agency Fluent IMC has appointed Bryan Roche as a public relations and digital strategist. He will assist in the creation of multimedia content, social media strategy and with public relations efforts. Roche spent the last two-and-a-half-years with the University of Southern Maine in its office of public affairs. There, he revamped institutional social media efforts while providing strategy and direction for department specific social media efforts. 

VIRGINIA — International public affairs firm the Hawthorn Group, LC, has appointed Suzanne Hammelman president and chief operating officer. Prior to this position, she was Hawthorn's chief client officer and is one of the original partners who established the firm in 1991. Hammelman has created and managed numerous multi-state issue advocacy campaigns and has focused on highly targeted, cost effective grass roots campaigns. The firm provides strategic communications advice to investor owned utilities and other regulated industries.
