BUENOS AIRES — Edelman has named Matías Coudeu de Achaval acting general manager of Edelman Argentina, effective July 1st. A 12-year veteran of the firm, Coudeu de Achaval (pictured) served as group director of the Argentina office, overseeing all practices and integrated solutions, while also leading the crisis offer. Coudeu de Achaval will take over the leadership of the office from president and CEO Allan McCrea Steele, who is retiring after 27 years with the agency.

WASHINGTON — Clyde Group has hired LaShon S. Beamon as a senior VP in its healthcare practice. Previously, Beamon was the associate director for state relations and communications in the Administration for Children and Families at the US Department of Health and Human Services. Here, she oversaw communications to governor-appointed state human service leaders and worked at the intersection of policy communications and agency leadership on human service delivery needs — including overseeing communications activities for the agency’s first public-private partnership that focused on improving the economic mobility of underrepresented communities across the country. She also trained agency leadership on vaccine hesitancy and served as a trusted messenger for the Covid-19 vaccine.

Chelstad brings more than 20 years of communications experience working with Fortune 100s, startups and nonprofits across a wide range of sectors, including consumer products and services, retail, technology, entertainment, healthcare, transportation and financial services. NEW YORK — Weber Shandwick has made three new hires: Teressa Wykpisz-Lee, Julia Bloch Mellon and Seana Sullivan. Wykpisz-Lee has joined public affairs unit Powell Tate as senior VP, public affairs. Wykpisz-Lee brings deep experience in strategic communications, change management and public affairs. Prior to joining Powell Tate, Wykpisz-Lee held the position of associate administrator of the Office of Strategic Communications for the General Services Administration (GSA) as a Biden Administration appointee. Mellon has joined Weber Shandwick as executive VP, financial services. She joins from The Bliss Group, where she handled a range of clients operating in various financial sectors. Sullivan joins Weber Shandwick as senior VP, consumer tech. She will lead the consumer technology practice for the West. Sullivan brings years of experience in the consumer technology space, having most recently worked at Roku and before that Electronic Arts.

NEW YORK — JBC has made two executive-level promotions. Executive VP Libbey Baumgarten will now also serve as head of growth. In this new cross-functional role, she’ll drive strategy around agency expansion and business development. Additionally, Emily Tschirhart has been promoted to vice president to continue expanding the social impact and healthcare division overseeing a client roster including BetterUp, theSkimm, Tia and Female Founders Fund, among others. She was previously an associate VP.

NEW YORK — Gregory FCA has appointed former PREIT executive VP Heather Crowell as executive VP of investor relations. Crowell comes to Gregory FCA after serving for more than 18 years in a variety of positions.
