TORONTO — Emily Whetung-MacInnes, former chief of Curve Lake First Nation, has joined Proof Strategies as senior advisor of Indigenous relations. Whetung-MacInnes (pictured) co-created her role to help Proof better counsel clients on the importance of Indigenous perspectives and how to engage with Indigenous Peoples in meaningful and impactful ways. The new emphasis will expand work to provide strategic planning and counsel for clients focused on relationship building with Indigenous communities. Work is already underway providing insight for several Proof Strategies clients in the energy, mining, development and healthcare industries.

BOSTON — LaVoieHealthScience (LHS) has appointed Nick Hennen as head of media, Boston. Hennen is a veteran media affairs expert who brings over 20 years of experience in earned media in national and international media outlets, along with media training and development. Prior to joining LaVoieHealthScience, Hennen focused on earned media at the US Department of Energy’s Pacific Northwest National Laboratory. Previously, he served as senior media relations advisor with Cheetah Mobile Corporation.
