NEW YORK — Peppercomm has expanded and enhanced its senior leadership team, promoting three executives to partner. They are: New York-based Tara Lilien, who is responsible for talent management, engagement and acquisition for the agency; Matt Purdue, who works from New York and Philadelphia as a subject-matter expert and content marketing leader and London-based Courtney Ellul. Courtney will continue to build the agency’s presence and client roster in the UK and Europe.
WASHINGTON — Abernathy MacGregor has named Sarah Knakmuhs, Mike Hotra and Liz Sidoti as heads of its new Washington office. All three will serve as managing directors. Knakmuhs most recently was VP of government affairs and public policy at Altria Group. Hotra most recently was VP at the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America. Sidoti is a Managing Director at Abernathy MacGregor, joining the firm from BP, where she was Head of US communications.
NEW YORK — Finsbury has named Elizabeth Micci a partner in its New York office. Micci, a strategic communications veteran with 20 years of experience, was previously a managing director and head of the New York Office at the Glover Park Group.
WASHINGTON — The Glover Park Group has hired Megan Moore as a VP. Moore will work in GPG’s government affairs division, Moore comes to GPG from the Federal Housing Agency, where she served as special advisor to the director.
CHICAGO — Current Global has strengthened its strategic capabilities with the appointment of Eddie Garrett as executive VP, planning. He joins from Chicago-based 18 Coffees, where he was a partner at the strategy consulting firm. He previously held leadership roles at Weber Shandwick, Porter Novelli and Edelman, and brings diverse experience across the media and entertainment, food and beverage, government, healthcare and home sectors.
WASHINGTON — Weber Shandwick has announced two senior hires in its global social impact practice — Lee Ann Townes, who joins in New York as executive VP social impact team lead, and Melanie Janin, who joins as executive vice president and strategist focused on sustainability and will be based in Seattle. Towns most recently was senior VP of social purpose and sustainability at MSL Group. Janin formerly was global corporate communications lead of sustainability and social responsibility for Amazon.
ANNAPOLIS, MD — Crosby Marketing Communications has promoted Gillian Pommerehn to senior VP and Bridget Stockdale to VP. Pommerehn has led Crosby’s public relations work for more than 10 years, overseeing a team that delivers innovative media relations programs, spokesperson training, reputation management initiatives and public awareness campaigns. Stockdale is a lead strategist at Crosby, directing brand planning and cross-functional teams to deploy fully integrated marketing programs for clients.
