BOSTON — LaVoieHealthScience (LHS) has welcomed former specialty pharmaceutical analyst Chiara Russo to the team as director, investor relations. Russo joins LHS from Cantor Fitzgerald, LLC where she was director, research analyst covering various small to mid-cap specialty pharma and biotech companies. Prior to her role at Cantor, Chiara was vice president, research analyst at Janney Montgomery Scott, LLC.
DENVER — GroundFloor Media and its sister agency CenterTable have hired Elise Bishop as director of communications; Adrienne Schafer as director of social media and digital strategy; and Shelbi Warner as director of finance. Bishop joins the firm from DanoneWave where she served as a communications specialist support PR, social media, digital comms and issues management for the company's portfolio of brands. Prior to joining CenterTable, Schafer worked as an instructional designer at Twitter and as director of program innovation at MyLifeLine.org Cancer Foundation. Meanwhile, Warner joins the team with nearly 20 years experience in accounting related roles.
DETROIT — Lambert, Edwards & Associates (LEA) has appointed veteran automotive and business journalist Brent Snavely as a director. He will work closely with the firm's investor relations and manufacturing and mobility clients, and will provide strategic counsel throughout the firm. Most recently, Snavely served as the lead automotive writer at the Detroit Free Press where he covered Ford and General Motors while also serving as auto team leader. Prior to that, he worked for Crain's Detroit Business, covering industries that included automotive suppliers, retail and restaurants.
ANNAPOLIS — Crosby Communications has tapped Therese Borchard as a senior writer. She has over 20 years experience in strategic communications and writing, including serving as a health writer for EverydayHealth.com, Turner Broadcasting, PsychCentral.com and the Huffington Post. She has also authored books on mental health and recovery, to marriage and parenthood, and faith and spirituality. Prior to joining Crosby, Borchard held positions at Orbis Technologies and Booz Allen Hamilton.
LOS ANGELES — FRUKT has promoted Meilani Weiss to senior vice president and Lisa Vu to account director. In addition, the firm has hired Meg Grogan as group director; Gilberto Guadalupe as an account manager; and Jason Polansky as a senior account executive. Weiss will lead the North American brand integration and product placement team, focused on connecting Hollywood content creators with brands and building successful entertainment and marketing partnerships. Meanwhile, Vu is now an account director, and oversees brand integration partnerships with clients including Cisco and McDonalds. Grogran joins FRUKT from Microsoft, where she helped TV and broadcast partners utilize the brand's technology to simplify workflow and improve content. Guadalupe has expertise in reaching the Latin American market and will work on behalf of MasterCard from FRUKT's Miami office.
WASHINGTON, DC — Scott Circle has hired Kellie Murphy as senior vice president and promoted Dee Donavanik to vice president. Murphy is a strategist and implementer with over 20 years experience in corporate, start-up, agency, nonprofit and consulting in integrated communications. She will lead clients accounts, mange staff and develop new business. She previously provided strategic counsel for clients in the US, Europe and the Middle East and has also led efforts at GMMB, the American Democracy Institute and the Hunt Institute for Educational Leadership and Policy. Prior to her promotion, Donavanik led the efforts at Scott Circle for a campaign that won numerous awards and has a decade of experience in media relations and strategic communications. Prior to Scott Circle, she led the operations for the Washing branch of Media Connect, a division of Finn Partners.
