DUBAI — Alex Malouf has been named corporate communications director for Schneider Electric in the Middle East, Africa and Turkey, after ending his seven-year stint with Procter & Gamble.
Malouf takes on a newly-created role at the French energy multinational, reporting to Firdaus Shariff, regional VP of marketing, communications and digital customer experience. Shariff is also relatively new, having joined Schneider last year after more than eight years with SAP.
"We’ve got a brilliant story to tell here in the Middle East and Africa when it comes to our work on ensuring access to safe, reliable, and sustainable energy for all," said Shariff. "We’re very excited to have Alex join our team and help get that message across in a way that’s easy to understand, meaningful, and relevant to customers, governments, partners, and the public."
Malouf joined P&G in 2013, serving in the FMCG's corporate communications team across India, the Middle East and Africa, and focusing on executive comms, media relations, gender parity and diversity and inclusion.
Prior to P&G, Malouf worked at ABB and Weber Shandwick, among others. He is also prominent among the region's industry associations, including IABC, Impact2030, the Global Alliance and the PRCA.
