SAN FRANCISCO—Alibaba Group, the Chinese online and mobile commerce giant, has expanded its international corporate affairs team with the addition of Bob Christie, Jennifer Kuperman and Greg Jenkins. The three will be based in San Francisco and will report to Jim Wilkinson, Alibaba’s recently-appointed senior vice president and head of international corporate affairs.

Christie will serve as vice president of international media responsible for managing media relations for the company outside of Greater China. Previously, he was a managing director for Burson-Marsteller in New York. He is also a former senior vice president of corporate communications at The New York Times Company and vice president of communications at Dow Jones & Company.

Kuperman will serve as vice president of strategy and planning, leading international strategic communications initiatives. She was previously the senior vice president and head of corporate marketing and reputation at Visa, and also served as the chief of staff to Visa’s CEO. She began her career as a management consultant with Accenture.

Jenkins will serve as a director with the international corporate affairs team. Most recently, he worked at Brunswick Group, a strategic communications firm.
