LONDON — Allison+Partners has hired its first integrated marketing lead for EMEA, appointing Gary McCarthy as executive vice president of integrated marketing.

McCarthy joins the agency after four years as client director at digital marketing specialist Investis Digital. He previously worked at digital experience agency Mediablaze and has worked with digital brands across the technology, retail, property, financial services and automotive sectors, including Amazon, Google, Natwest, Nestlé and Vodafone.

In his new role, McCarthy will oversee and develop Allison+Partners’ integrated marketing services for clients across the region, including digital communications, advertising, content and performance marketing, to complement the agency’s earned media business.

As well as working with Dan Whitney, recently promoted to managing director of the marketing innovation team, and UK & Ireland MD and partner Jim Selman, McCarthy will work alongside EVP and head of client experience for Europe Kate Lynch to strengthen existing client relationships and grow the business.

McCarthy said: “In today’s increasingly digital world, there are no lines between marketing and PR. Brands need to have an omnichannel approach and showcase the same consistent message to reach audiences on every platform. With the right presence across paid, earned, shared and owned content, brands boost customer and stakeholder awareness and trust, and I’m thrilled to grow these offerings even more with the Allison+Partners team.”

Whitney added: “We know an integrated approach is crucial for brand success today, and with Gary on our team, we’re excited to further enhance our proven integrated marketing processes, skills, products and services.”
