SYDNEY — Amelia Tipping has been promoted to MD of H+K Strategies Australia following the departure of CEO Mandy Galmes.
Galmes leaves the agency after three years as CEO to "pursue a new opportunity", according to a statement from H+K.
Tipping's promotion comes after seven years with H+K as head of consumer for the Australian operation. Reporting to H+K Asia president HS Chung, Tipping (pictured) will join H+K Asia’s senior leadership team.
Her elevation also follows several promotions and appointments at the firm this year. Anna O’Sullivan has been promoted to managing partner of strategic communications and public affairs to lead all strategic communications and public affairs opportunities across Asia.
In addition, Mark Lensyzyn will step up into the role of Asia technology practice lead and LG-One network director for the agency's critical relationship with the Korean technology company.
Also, Marcha Van Den Heuvel has been promoted to business director and will take on the increased responsibility of managing H+K Australia’s business development function alongside the Australia leadership team.
“We thank Mandy for her contribution to H+K both locally and globally," said Chung. "She has been the driving force behind the transformation and growth of H+K Australia over the past three years."
"Having worked directly with Amelia, Anna, Mark and Marcha, I am confident their commitment, drive and skills will add immense value to our clients in their evolving requirements, accelerate the growth of our people and our business both locally and across the region," added Chung.
