LONDON: Online giant AOL has called in new integrated PR consultancy Kaper to support its corporate and consumer communications.

The agency, which has only been in existence for three months, has been tasked with promoting AOL’s mission of being the web’s largest creator of digital content. The account will be led by Kaper MD Chris McCafferty, who left UK PR firm Shine earlier this year to found the new firm. Kaper also counts minority ownership from ad agency Karmarama. Prior to working at Shine, McCafferty was director of comms at MySpace UK and MSN UK.

Kaper will work alongside AOL’s retained consumer PR agency, House PR. In particular, the firm will target a slightly older, over-35 audience.
