SYDNEY — H+K Strategies Australia has named seasoned communications leader Mandy Galmes CEO, as which she will also manage sister content marketing agency Colloquial.  Galmes (pictured) joins from WPP AUNZ company Sibling where she was the MD for almost two years heading up the Scentre Group integrated work.   Her appointment comes following the departure of former H+K managing director Penny Holloway.

SEOUL — BCW has promoted managing director Elizabeth Bae to Korea market leader. Bae has had a 15-year career in corporate and brand communications. Before BCW, she was senior director of corporate and consumer practice at Edelman Korea.

SINGAPORE — Text100 has promoted Mabel Chiang to the role of managing consultant for Singapore. Chiang, who joined the agency 11 years ago, takes over the reins of the Singapore business from Marc Ha, an 18-year veteran with Text100, who has been appointed to a regional role as MD of client strategy and business development. Chiang will report into Yeow Mei Ling, a Text100 veteran of 12 years who becomes MD of Southeast Asia overseeing the agency’s operations in the SEA region.

SYDNEY — Adhesive, the Australian and New Zealand agency, has launched in the UK with the opening of a London office.  Lucinda Pride, a former board director at Fever, has taken the role of UK managing director.  The office launches with Los Angeles Tourism & Convention Board as its founding client.

SINGAPORE — Women in Tech Asia, an annual thought leadership conference for women in Asia working in the technology space, has named The Hoffman Agency as its public relations agency of record for its third annual conference on Sept. 19.  With sights of becoming Asia’s largest tech conference for women, the organization is looking to increase its visibility with strategic public relations outreach.
