KUALA LUMPUR — Ruder Finn Asia has appointed Adeline Phun general manager of the firm’s Malaysia operation. Phun will oversee Ruder Finn Malaysia’s operations and be responsible for expanding the firm’s integrated services and reinforcing reputation and crisis management capabilities within the market. Before joining Ruder Finn Asia, Phun (pictured) was the general manager of Rantau Golin, where she advised clients in the areas of integrated communications, reputation management and media relations across the healthcare, financial, corporate, technology, mobility and FMCG sectors.

SINGAPORE — Ogilvy Consulting has launched a sustainability practice in Asia to help clients shape sustainability priorities and solutions in the region. Ogilvy’s new practice will focus on Asia’s myriad pressing environmental, social, and inclusion issues. They include poverty, the environment, calls for companies to move to net zero emissions, alternative energy, and equity and inclusion. The new practice will be headed by Andy Wilson, who joins Ogilvy from BBDO and will report to Jerry Smith, CEO of Ogilvy Consulting, Asia.

SOUTHEAST ASIA — Vero has made two new hires set to reinforce its regional capacity of data insights, and brand storytelling. Thach Quang Nguyen has joined as data intelligence unit lead, after previously working as a market and consumer insight analyst at Unilever. In addition, Catherine Napalai Faulder is appointed as Vero’s storytelling director. 

SYDNEY — Sefiani Communications Group has promoted Georgia Bennett to senior account director. In her new role, Bennett leads teams creating communication programs for clients including Allen & Overy, MAX Solutions, Taylor Construction, Ferrero and L’Oreal Australia. Bennett joined Sefiani in 2015, and was most recently an account director.
