BEIJING — Edelman has appointed Winston Chen as executive VP, head of public affairs. In his new role, Chen will lead the agency’s public affairs offering and expand its remit in China, focusing on meeting the evolving needs of multinationals operating in the country, while navigating the way forward for Chinese companies looking to expand abroad. Chen’s 20+ years of experience in public affairs spans roles consulting for the State Council of the Chinese Government; serving as the Washington Bureau Chief for Sing Tao Daily, head of the China office for the Committee of 100; and providing investment and government relations advisory services to multinational companies.

SYDNEY—Sefiani has appointed Iain Waterman as account director and Caitlin Young as account manager in the agency’s technology practice. Waterman previously held roles at Sling & Stone in Sydney and Teneo Blue Rubicon in London. Young joins Sefiani from global tech PR and digital firm, Hotwire.
