BEIJING—FleishmanHillard has appointed Jerry Zou to head its Beijing office as general manager. Reporting to Li Hong, president of FleishmanHillard’s mainland China network, Zou has responsibility for the further expansion of the firm’s operations, services and product offerings in Beijing. He had been working as a senior vice president and partner at FleishmanHillard’s Beijing office, overseeing the firm’s China technology and branding practices. Before joining FleishmanHillard, Zou worked with Hill & Knowlton and other global PR agencies.

BEIJING—MSLGroup has named Daisy Zhu to replace Par Uhlin as managing director, MSLGroup China, and to the additional role of general manager of the Shanghai office. Thomas Liu has been named general manager of the Beijing office. Uhlin takes on the new role of vice chairman, China, adding to his responsibilities as managing director of MSLGroup in Hong Kong and as Asia-Pacific regional practice group lead for reputation management and corporate communications.

SINGAPORE—Carlsberg Singapore has retained GolinHarris to lead its corporate and internal communications and continued brand marketing efforts in 2014. The assignment will encompass brands including Carlsberg, Carlsberg Special Brew, Kronenbourg and Somersby. The 12-month retainer will also include a digital component for the Carlsberg brand.

SYDNEY—InterContinental Sydney has appointed Ogilvy Public Relations as its retained agency of record. The agency will differentiate the InterContinental in Sydney’s competitive luxury hotel market; drive greater awareness and preference for its accommodation, dining, events and entertainment offerings; and build affinity for its venues, Cortile Lounge and Café Opera via targeted media relations and influencer outreach and the creation of engaging social content.
