KUALA LUMPUR — Burson Cohn & Wolfe has announced that BCW Malaysia and essence BCW will combine operations under the BCW Malaysia brand, effective immediately. The decision to integrate follows the completion of BCW’s acquisition of essence BCW. The merged entity will be led by managing director and current BCW Malaysia market leader Kiersten Chaik, who will continue to report to Matt Stafford, APAC president, BCW.

HONG KONG — Finsbury Glover Hering has strengthened its China leadership team with the appointments of MD Mei Zhang in Hong Kong, and Kevin Ma and Helen Tang as director and associate director, respectively, in Beijing. Zhang previously spent 11 years at Goldman Sachs in Asia, as an executive director in government affairs, corporate communications and the China Liaison Group.

SHANGHAI — Gusto Luxe has strengthened its senior leadership team with the appointment of Mae Mei as business director, head of lifestyle and corporate communications. Mei will oversee the agency’s new corporate advisory offering for luxury brands looking to enhance corporate reputation, brand repositioning, investor relations, trainings and crisis management. MUMBAI — Workforce management platform Betterplace has appointed Pitchfork Partners as its public relations counsel following a multi-agency pitch. Pitchfork Partners will work closely with Betterplace to elevate the brand’s reputation and strengthen its position as an organization dedicated to the blue-collar employee space. Koo, India’s local microblogging platform, also appointed Pitchfork Partners as its communication partner. It will help communicate Koo’s official public messaging through multi-channel outreach to increase awareness about the platform.
