DALIAN—The World Economic Forum has again chosen Ogilvy Public Relations Beijing as its official PR partner for this year's Annual Meeting of the New Champions, widely known as the Summer Davos, in Dalian, China. Ogilvy will provide the Forum with on-site Chinese and international media relations support and will also focus on developing a social media strategy for Chinese platforms including Sina Weibo, Tencent Weibo and WeChat to ensure the Forum continues to resonate with a local audience.

SINGAPORE—Government affairs and corporate communications firm Hume Brophy, has hired Yeoh El Lynn (pictured) as senior director for its Singapore office, responsible for driving new business growth and leading client businesses, and reporting to managing director Una McGirr. She was most recently the business development director, Asia, for Hill+Knowlton Strategies and started her career at MDK Consultants in Kuala Lumpur. The firm also appointed Simren Priestley, who relocated after four years in Hume Brophy’s London office, as account director.

TAIPEI—Bottled water producer Fiji Water has named GolinHarris as its agency of record in Taiwan, following a four-way pitch. As part of a six-month assignment, GolinHarris will provide strategic counsel to help grow the bottled water brand's distribution base throughout Taiwan amd tactics to increase product recognition and drive consumer trial.
