SHENZHEN — Ogilvy China has launched a new office in Shenzhen and has named Angela Chou as the office's managing director. The agency calls Shenzhen an extremely exciting market, saying that it sees a new generation of global tech players from the city and that it hopes that the new office will serve as a hub facilitating its access between its global Ogilvy and WPP network for their branding efforts. 

HONG KONG — The agency formerly known as Sinclair Communications has announced an updated brand identity as Sinclair that supports its position as an established public relations, social media and experiential consultancy. The agency was founded by Kiri Sinclair in 2009 to offer integrated PR to brands in Asia. Its since expanded to encompass an expert team of over 35 professionals who deliver integrated PR programs across Asia, from offices in Hong Kong to Shanghai. 

TOKYO — McCann Worldgroup has appointed Hiroaki Mori as president and CEO of McCann Japan. Mori is the former chairman and COO of TBWA Hakuhodo China. Most recently, he was responsible for the agency's Guangzhou, Beijing and Chengdu offices. Mori will be based in Tokyo, but expects to visit Osaka regularly. The firm is currently undergoing changes in Japan including a full office refurbishment and a revision of its workplace policies with the aim of maximizing its attractiveness to staff and prospective talent.
