SYDNEY — Michelle Hutton is leaving Edelman after 13 years with the firm, most recently as Asia-Pacific vice chair.

Hutton took on the regional leadership role in 2022, after leading the firm's Australian operation for the previous three years. Prior to that, she held senior roles in London, after joining Edelman Australia in 2010 from H+K Strategies.

Hutton's departure comes after she moved into a new role as vice chair of client solutions earlier this year, in the first senior level reshuffle since Warren Fernandez was named Edelman Asia-Pacific CEO last year.

Hutton initially joined the Asia-Pacific executive committee under Fernandez's predecessor Stephen Kehoe, who gave her a broad mandate overseeing integration, culture and people.

In a LinkedIn post, Hutton said she would take a break over the summer. "People say that courage is the root of change. I’m going to get started on what that could mean for me and what’s next because this industry embraces change and that’s what I plan to do too."

"We can confirm that Michelle Hutton is leaving Edelman," said an Edelman spokesperson. "We’d like to thank her for her 13 years of service to our clients and her significant contributions to the firm. We wish her the best in all her future endeavours."
