SÃO PAULO — Spain-based Atrevia has acquired São Paulo firm XCOM, marking its latest move to solidify its position across Latin America.
Founded a decade ago, XCOM is known for its work in public relations, influencer engagement, and digital marketing. The agency has 40 employees and a roster of clients that includes UOL, PagBank, IBGC and St. Marche. Its leadership team—CEO Viviana Toletti, executive director Daniel Bruin, operations director Deborah Slobodticov, and financial director Fagner Neri—will remain in place.
“We are now 650 professionals in 15 countries, all with the same goal: to utilize communication, public affairs, reputation and brand management to support the growth of our economies and the transformation of society,” said founder and executive president Núria Vilanova.
XCOM is the third LatAm firm Atrevia has acquired in recent years, following the purchase of Apple Tree’s digital business in Colombia (2022) and Nueva Comunicación in Uruguay (2024). The company’s regional ambitions include dedicated hubs for corporate affairs and strategic creativity, as well as specialized units in AI, digital transformation, and culture and internal communications.
The acquisition is part of the firm’s 2024–2028 strategic plan to accelerate growth through regional expansion and service integration. In expanding its footprint in Europe and Latin America, Atrevia is positioning itself as a top-tier communications partner in Spanish- and Portuguese-speaking markets.
In 2024, the company reported €47.6 million in revenue and an EBIT of €4.3 million. Both Atrevia and Xcom are B Corporation-certified, and Atrevia has been part of the UN Global Compact since 2003.
