MUMBAI—Avian WE and its Chase public affairs subsidiary have received 23 South Asia SABRE Awards nominations for their client work, more than any other public relations firm. A complete list of this year’s finalists was released today.

The work submitted by WE Communications’ India subsidiary generated more nominations than that of First Partners, which received 22 nominations. Genesis BCW and Hill+Knowlton Strategies each finished with 16 nominations, while MSL (and its 20:20 sister agency) was a finalist 12 times.

Other firms with multiple finalists included Value 360 (eight), Adfactors and PR Pundit (six each) and Ruder Finn, including its RF Thunder unit (five).

“We received a record number of entries this year, from a record number of firms: 25 of the best agencies in the subcontinent,” said Paul Holmes, PRovoke Media founder and SABRE judge. “We also received a significant number of entries from client companies such as Godrej, Vedanta and Madison, demonstrating the wide range of quality public relations work being produced by agencies and clients across the region.”

The winning campaigns will be announced on August 31, at an awards ceremony in Mumbai, presented by PRovoke Media and its partner, the Public Relations Consultants Association of India. Tickets will go on sale soon and can be purchased via PRCAI.
