CHICAGO — BCW has tapped former DiGennaro Communications president Maxine Winer to lead its Chicago operations.

As executive VP and market leader, Winer oversees BCW Chicago’s business growth, talent management and client relationships. She succeeds Erin Shea, who vacated the role after less than two years.

Winer brings more than 25 years of industry experience to the role, which included running FleishmanHillard’s Chicago office.

For the last four years, Winer led DeGennaro as president and COO, overseeing day-to-day operations and client service for the agency.

She oversaw FleishmanHillard’s Chicago office as senior VP, senior partner and general manager for eight years before that. Earlier in her career, Winer served as deputy general manager of Edelman Chicago’s reputation management practice.

“Max brings an enviable combination of broad sector expertise, strong operational acumen and rigorous focus on client service excellence to her role as BCW’s Chicago market leader,” said BCW North America President Mary Corcoran.  “Max is also committed to building strong, inclusive teams focused on professional growth. She has the right mix of hard and soft skills to ensure we’re moving people every day. I’m excited for what Max will bring to our business.”
