BRUSSELS — BCW has appointed digital pioneer Dan Sobovitz as a senior digital communications advisor.
Sobovitz is the founder of digital communications agency spreadable.io, a network of individuals from communication agencies, technology companies, public institutions and international organisations. Before setting up the agency last year, Sobovitz was speechwriter and digital communications strategist for European Commission vice president Maroš Šefčovič.
Spreadable.io has a specialism in live interactive and digital/hybrid events, and Sobovitz has produced and moderated events including a VR launch of EU satellites into space, livestreaming from autonomous vehicles and solar planes, and using digital tools to make EU democracy more participative, such as crowdsourcing EU policies among citizen groups.

BCW Brussels CEO Andrew Cecil, to whom Sobovitz will report, said: “We are delighted to welcome a digital communications professional of Dan’s calibre to BCW as we further accelerate our digital transformation and offer.
"Dan is widely recognizsd as a digital pioneer, and his creativity and disruptive approach to digital communications will help us build on our existing successes and continue to grow and transform our offer to meet the evolving demands for digital communications in Brussels and across Europe.
Sobovitz added: “Disruption only happens where independent, creative, and risk-tolerant thinking is celebrated. I am delighted to have found such an environment at BCW, and for the opportunity to explore new disruptive solutions in digital communication for its broad range of integrated services and prestigious clients.”
