CHICAGO — BeIN Sports, the global network of sports channels, has named Ogilvy its PR agency of record for North America.

Ogilvy won the business in a competitive pitch that included at least three other agencies. Miami-based Pinta was the incumbent.

Ogilvy’s Chicago, New York and Sacramento offices will be handling beIN’s North American media and influencer relations, as well as activations around major events. Ogilvy will also be responsible for driving awareness of beIN’s linear and OTT platforms and programming, including the new beIN Sports XTRA, which airs free live sports over-the-top, as well as over-the-air in various markets.

Owned by Qatar-based beIN Media Group, beIN Sports North America airs primarily top-tier soccer, holding the broadcast rights to franchises including LaLiga, Ligue 1, Copa Libertadores, Copa Sudamericana, Coupe de France and Africa Cup of Nations, CAF Confederation Cup. The network also broadcasts a variety of other sports including wrestling, mixed martial arts, skiing and handball.

“Ogilvy’s team of PR & Influence experts are a great compliment to our team at beIN Sports North America. This partnership is yet another step beIN SPORTS is taking to amplify our corporate messaging and promotional campaigns, as we to continue to build our brand in North America and deliver world-class soccer content to our fans.”
