SINGAPORE — Belle Baldoza has departed ByteDance to take on a senior regional communications role at Airbnb.

Baldoza has been named head of communications for Airbnb for Southeast Asia, Hong Kong and Taiwan. She leaves ByteDance, the Chinese company behind TikTok, after a year as global communications director, focusing on Southeast Asia and India.

At Airbnb, Baldoza reports to Asia-Pacific head of corporate and policy communications Jake Wilczynski. The new position is the latest in a series of senior roles at disruptive technology players for Baldoza, who spent a year as Uber Asia-Pacific head of consumer communications before joining ByteDance.

Prior to Uber, Baldoza was Southeast Asia consumer PR lead at Netflix, following a three-year stint as Spotify Asia's head of PR and communications. She is a member of both the Influence 100's Rising Stars and the upcoming Asia-Pacific Innovator 25 class for 2019.
