LONDON — Popcorn has been appointed by BMW Group UK as its retained PR agency, after a competitive pitch.

The car manufacturer has briefed the agency to deliver lifestyle PR campaigns for its BMW and Mini brands, including press office, new product launches and seasonal campaigns, to support its business and communications objectives.

BMW Group UK had previously worked with Iris since 2014, including renewing the lifestyle account with the agency in 2018 after a pitch process.

Graham Biggs, BMW Group UK’s corporate communications director, said: “Popcorn demonstrated passion, energy and creativity throughout the selection process, as well as a thorough understanding of both the BMW and MINI brands. We’re confident in the agency’s ability to support us in our plans and excited to work with the team.”

Popcorn founder Louise Lloyd added: “We are delighted to welcome such a truly iconic name to the Popcorn portfolio, BMW has been on our dream client list since the beginning and having immersed ourselves in the briefs we can’t wait to showcase the breadth and innovation of the group.”

Other Popcorn clients include Panasonic, Bel UK, Thorpe Park Resort, Johnson & Johnson and Giggling Squid.
