BRUSSELS — BoldT, which has already opened four European offices since it was set up seven months ago, has named a new chairman following the departure of co-founder Herbert Heitmann.

Former Bayer, Shell and SAP communications chief Heitmann, who helped launch the firm with Jeremy Galbraith last year, has left "on the best of terms to establish his own consultancy," according to a statement from BoldT.

As his replacement, BoldT has named former Burson-Marsteller and Weber Shandwick Germany CEO Karl-Heinz Heuser as the firm's new chairman. Heuser will continue in his current role as CEO and owner of Heuser Communications, which has offices in Cologne and Berlin.

"In all my 30 years in consultancy I haven’t come across anyone who better gets the importance of providing communications advice to deliver concrete business results or transformation," said Galbraith. "He also brings a proven entrepreneurial track record of founding two successful consultancies. He will be an important part of our continued growth and development — adding Berlin to BoldT’s footprint is an important further step for us."

BoldT has already snapped up numerous senior executives from Burson-Marsteller, where Galbraith previously led EMEA. These include Katarina Wallin Bureau, Michiel van Hulten,  Morten Pettersen, and Matthias Graf.
