WASHINGTON – Bully Pulpit Interactive has received a “major” investment from Broad Sky Partners, a private equity firm that specializes in mid-marketed business services and consumer companies.

In announcing the deal (the terms of which were not disclosed), BPI said it plans to leverage its partnership with Broad Sky to further the agency’s growth through diversifying offerings, expanding into new markets, advancing technology, and investing in employees and culture.

“The world’s largest organizations are seeking strategic partners that can both think and act at scale. We’re thrilled to partner with Broad Sky as they both share our excitement for building the agency of the future and our conviction in the importance of supporting BPI’s culture as we grow,” said BPI president Andrew Bleeker. “The Broad Sky investment is backing BPI and the team to invest in the next chapter of our growth story. We’re excited about the prospect of exploring future acquisitions and the opportunity to diversify our offerings, expand to new markets, and further advance in our technology.”

The deal with Broad Sky is the second of its kind for BPI, which seven years ago received an investment from Svoboda Capital Partners. Svoboda will maintain a minority stake in the company.

Founded in 2009, BPI work with an array of clients including Fortune 100 brands, advocacy groups, philanthropies, and campaigns, and has more than 200 full-timers across offices in Washington, Chicago, San Francisco and New York. The firm was named PRovoke Media’s global Public Affairs Agency of the Year in both 2022 and 2021.
