LONDON — Scottish distillery Bruichladdich has selected Praytell to serve as its global PR agency of record.

Praytell’s remit includes leading Bruichladdich’s sustainability communications focused on the products and initiatives that reflect the distillery’s commitment to sustainability. Bruichladdich, which is owned by Rémy Cointreau, has three brands in addition to its namesake whisky — Port Charlotte, Octomore, and The Botanist gin.

Praytell is Bruichladdich’s first global PR agency, which it was named following a competitive pitch. The business is estimated to be worth an amount in the low six figures.

The account will be led from Praytell’s London office by account director Jess Rieutord and UK lead James Bunting.

“The team at Bruichladdich Distillery is delighted to be partnering with Praytell as they make progress on their sustainability journey,” the company said in a statement. “Helping with communications and outreach for their B Corp status and sustainability comms, Praytell will be the global lead on PR across energy, agriculture, packaging and community for the gin and whisky maker. As their first global PR agency, it’s an exciting step in the Islay distiller’s mission to educate and drive awareness around the benefits of balancing profit and purpose”
